"Glorifying God by Serving Local Churches"
"Grand View exists to glorify God by serving local churches, through using the unique atmosphere of camp to display the good news of Jesus Christ."
As stated in Grand View’s mission: “Grand View exists to glorify God by serving local churches, through using the unique atmosphere of camp to display the good news of Jesus Christ.”
One of the most meaningful ways we live out that mission is around the table. Meals at Grand View are far more than food—they are moments where campers laugh together, share stories from the day, open up about what God is doing in their lives, and experience the kind of family-style hospitality that reflects the love of Christ. Whether it’s the excitement of drowning biscuits with gravy at breakfast or gathering under the stars for a campfire cookout, these shared meals help create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes camp feel like home; which help to open their hearts for what God has to say to them during their stay here.
By God’s gracious calling, I have the joy and privilege of partnering with Grand View as we partner with our local churches to accomplish their mission. Behind the scenes in the kitchen, I get to plan and prepare nourishing, delicious food that keeps campers energized for worship, games, and life-changing conversations. It is an honor to serve in this way—knowing that a warm meal can open hearts, strengthen community, and play a small but real part in pointing young people toward Jesus. I look forward to many more years here watching God use something as simple as food to do something with eternal significance.
My Personal Motto:
"Good food makes a happy belly, and a happy belly helps
open the heart of campers for what God has to teach them."
